Freshmen Coaches
Coach Kenny Villalobos: Freshman Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Line
This will be Coach Villalobos' 6th year at FVHS and his 3rd year coaching at the Freshman Level. Coach Villalobos graduated from Moreno Valley HS in 1998 with honors. He then went on to play 1 year at Mt. San Jacinto JC before transferring to the University of San Diego. There he played 3 years as a tailback/fullback earning All Offensive Team MVP and All-American Honors. He graduated in 2003 with a BA in Sociology. Currently Coach Villalobos is a Resource Teacher at Valley Vista HS. Off the field he enjoys spending time with his family Jennifer, Jarid, Jadelyn, and Kileigh. His hobbies include weightlifting and cooking. Coach V's favorite quote is "Come strong or don’t come at all!!"
Coach David Brewer: Strength/Speed Coach
Coach Brewer graduated from Long Beach State in 1993 and received his Masters Degree in 1997 from South Baylo University. Coach Brewer has over 25 years coaching experience in multiple sports including football at Capistrano Valley and Estancia. He has lived in the OC since 1981. Family members include his brother John and sister Carole. His hobbies include Sports Performance, music and the stock market. His favorite football memory is number 56, Lawrence Taylor. Coach Nyko Gonzalez: Receivers/Defensive Backs
Coach Gonzalez is a 2009 FVHS graduate and was on the Baron football team. His coaching history includes coaching basketball. He now resides in Corona. Coach Gonzalez's favorite football memory is going undefeated in his freshman year. His philosophy is "Go Big or Go Home."
Coach LJ Little: Corners & Safetys
Coach Little is entering his 4th year of coaching Baron football. He is a 2008 graduate of FVHS. He was awarded the Scotty Lang Award in 2007 and MVP in 2006. Coach Little lives in Fountain Valley. His hobbies include the beach, hockey, snow-boarding, basketball and Madden. His favorite football memory is scoring touchdowns.
Coach Mark Nakashima: Defensive Backs
This is Coach Nakashima's 2nd year coaching Baron football. He graduated from Huntington Beach High School and also coached there. He has lived in Fountain Valley for 13 years. His family includes his wife Gina and Kalani, Cole, Lucy, Cameron, and Kale’a Loa. He loves surfing. His favorite football memory is playing against Long Beach Poly in the CIF Playoffs in 1982.
Coach Steven Santana: QuarterBacks/Safeties
Coach Santana is starting his 1st year as a Baron Coach; however, he is no stranger to Baron Football. Coach Santana graduated from FVHS as a 4-Year Baron in 2009. He then went on to Golden West College, where he played football and earned his AA degree. Coach Santana has lived in HB for 10 years with his parents, brothers and sisters. He loves to go to the beach. His favorite memories are winning the Sunset League Championship in 2008 and winning a bowl game at Golden West College for the first time in 30 years. Coach John "NA" Tukia Jr.: O-Line/D-Line
This is Coach Tukia's 1st year coaching with the Barons. He graduated from FVHS in 2003 and New Mexico Highlands University with a BBA in 2010. Coach Tukia has lived in Huntington Beach forever. He has a wife, Susan, and a daughter named Trudy. His favorite memory was his Senior Year Bell Game.
