Coach Kral

Coach Michael Kral: JV Head Coach; JV/Varsity Defensive Backs

This is Coach Kral's 5th year coaching Baron football. Coach Kral graduated from FVHS in 1996, and then Cal State Chico with a BA in Psychology and history. Previously he coached at FV youth coaching clinics. Coach Kral grew up in Fountain Valley but now lives in Costa Mesa. Family members include his Dad Joseph, his Mom Vicky, brother Matt, sister Jennifer, and dog Juno. Coach Kral likes to spend time with friends and watch movies in his spare time. His favorite football memory is taking back the Bell from Edison during the 1995-1996 season.


Coach Gutierrez

Coach David Gutierrez: JV/Varsity Running Backs

Coach Gutierrez is starting his 2nd year here with the Barons. He is a graduate of Cal State Long Beach where he earned his B.A. in Kinesiology. Coach Gutierrez played football at Mayfair and Bellflower HS. He lives in Long Beach, where he was born and raised. He continues to stay active playing in adult basketball, baseball, and softball leagues. He enjoys attending sporting events and traveling with family and friends. His favorite memory includes competing with an under-rated football team that started the season with an 8-0 record. He believes "We are here to compete, so leave it all on the field."


Coach Krapivkin

Coach Tim Krapivkin: JV/Varsity Running Backs

Coach Krapivkin is joining the Baron family this year. He is a graduate of Joshua Springs High School. He has lived in Costa Mesa for 5 years. Coach Krapivkin's family includes his dad Paul, mother Carrie, and brother John. He enjoys eating and watching movies. Coach Krapivkin's favorite football memory was playing in a CIF Final. "Go big or go home," is his coaching philosophy.


Coach McHale

Coach Ryan McHale: Linebackers/DL

Coach McHale graduated from FVHS in 2004 and SJSU in 2009. This is his first year coaching with the Barons. Coach McHale's family includes his parents Carrie and James and his brothers Scott and Jason. He loves to work out, teach and read. Coach McHale's favorite memories include winning the bell in 2002, beating Stanford in 2006, and winning the New Mexico bowl in 2006. He was named player of the game vs. Mexico State in 2008. His philosophy? "Hit like a champ, let it swing, swoll city."
